Clarksville Police Department, Logo CPDOn January 24th, 2016 at 3:14pm, CPD Officers responded to a Theft of Property Shoplifting at Academy Sports, located at 130 South Hampton Place, that occurred between 12:00pm and 3:00pm.

An Academy Sports employee advised that an unknown male suspect entered the store and stole a Yeti Hopper cooler ($350.00) and Beats headphones ($300.00) totaling a $650.00 loss for the business.

Employees, as well as video footage, observed the male suspect enter the store, take the items, and leave through the back emergency exit doors.

Upon viewing the footage, Officers were able to determine that this same suspect was involved in a separate shoplifting incident at Books A Million, located at 125 South Hampton Place, that occurred between 11:22am and 12:50pm on January 24th, 2016.

Detective Gillespie has provided video footage of the two suspects that was taken from a security camera at Books A Million (BAM). The BAM video gives a clear image of the female suspect. There will soon be a follow up release that will include video footage from Academy Sports. The Academy Sports video will have better images of the male suspect.
